MAKING A POINT This is the way I make my points. There are other ways and also manufacturers like Cliff Barker make tie-bars, jigs, frogs etc which when I started were not available. The tie-bar used by me was suggested by Cliff at a time when he wasn't making them. In eight years that my track has been down I've only had one breakage at the solder joint. I've been happy - why change! Estimated time for completion - 15 hours approximately.

SETTING REPLACEMENT POINTS Having made the point/s I will now show you how to lay them into the track. In this case a pair of points which replace existing ones which have caused problems when pushing long coaches into the siding by buffer locking. Estimated time for completion - 5 hours approximately.

If you are interested in trackwork I suggest the WILD SWAN BOOK ' An Approach to Building Finescale Track' to be very informative for both full size and Gauge 1 trackwork - ISBN 1 874 103 00 3
